It’s something I think is so important and essential, learning to live now. We aren’t guaranteed a future. We might as well prioritize what presently matters to us where we can.

So much incredible stuff going on in this piece for me…starts with an ode to writing and questions who are you beyond your career, sprinkle in a reflection on faith and loss, and an incredible snippet about the interconnectedness of all of us when you lock eyes with the elderly woman, and all of this situated in the history and cultural nuances of an Austrian town…add an unexpected dash of humour about being on a Chinese tourist’s IG. I’m not sure if there are awards on Substack (saying that knowing awards for art are complete horseshit) but if there are - how do I nominate this piece? Bravo Suki.
